News & Events
Saturday, October 6, 2007- We have a lot of things coming up in the near future: Firstly, tonight our group will be featured on Brian Harnois' (formerly of TAPS and TV's Ghost Hunters fame) website DUDE RUN. I will be leading a question and answer session on their website chat room for their special ChatFest promotion. Feel free to come and check out the chat tonight, and bring your questions!

Secondly, most members of the group are planning on attending a locally sponsored walking tour of Old Trinity Church and the surrounding areas, in Brooklyn, CT. This event is being put on by Northeast Connecticut's Walking Weekends Program and is open to the public. The walk starts at 1.30 pm in the area of Church Street in Brooklyn.
After the walking tour, we will be holding our next monthly meeting in my home. We are planning to introduce new members and also are taking applications for several positions in the group. We already have a couple potential noobies attending, but if you are interested, send me an email directly and I will give you directions. Only people who are serious about paranormal investigation need apply. However, if you are silly outside of the paranormal, that is fine, too, since we are a really laid back group of people!
On Saturday, October 13th we are having our first official investigation at the Fort Griswold Battlefield State Park! Included will be any members that make it to our meeting and also our special guests...several members of MASSparanormal!! We are all very excited to meet Tom, Robyne, and the rest of the gang! This investigation is sure to be memorable and special for both of our groups!
Last but certainly not least, I would like to introduce our latest member...GAIL SARETTE! I just posted her bio on the About Us section today, so bounce on over there and check it out! We are very happy to have Gail in our group. She has had paranormal events surrounding her for her entire life and takes this work very seriously, as do the rest of us. YEY GAIL!
Well, that's about it for the moment, folks! I will do my best to update more as soon as I get it!
~Peace!
Tabbie
Thursday, September 13, 2007- Welcome to the newly reformatted website of the Paranormal Investigation Group of New England! After having gotten bored with the layout of the old site, I did some browsing and found this cool layout online. I hope you enjoy the new look and thanks a lot for viewing our website. Don't forget to sign our guestbook!
-Tabitha Johnson, Founder.
Monday, September 10, 2007- Due to an extremely busy and complex summer, we have not had much of a chance to do any updating to the website. For that I, Tabitha- our founder, personally apologize. It has come to my attention recently that the audio files that we have posted on the website are no longer functioning. I am currently in the process of finding another file hosting site that allows direct linking so that we are able to retain a decent amount of bandwidth for the website itself. There will also be many changes coming in the near future, and a lot of content will be added. We have successfully completed several investigations since the Maud's grave case on 03/11/07, and these will be going up shortly. Again, sorry for the trouble, and we look forward to seeing more people coming to the website to enjoy our forays into the paranormal!
Monday, May 7, 2007- Last night's meeting went absolutely awesomely! We got a lot of work accomplished, especially with regards to the sharing of responsibilities within the group. We also shared some evidence from our latest investigation with each other and had a very fun cookout for all of our members!
I would also like to welcome our newest members, Anthony and Chris! Chris has been investigating the paranormal for many, many years on his own and joined with the group on our last investigation on April 28th. Chris has an electrical background and will contribute to our Tech Department and investigations as time allows. Anthony also is a recent member, although we have been in contact with him since last year. He is a member of the U.S. military and has a wealth of military background and scientific knowledge to bring into the group. Due to his wealth of experience in the paranormal field, he has been promoted to Senior Staff Member and also Technology Department Manager.
A new bio has been added to the About Us section of our website, that of Mike Darrow, our Occult Specialist and Case Manager. Check back to this section to see more bios as I receive them from our members.
Monday, April 30, 2007- Our latest investigation, taken place at a local Freemason's Lodge, went off on Saturday night, 04-28-07, without a hitch! Many of our members had personal experiences, and although we have only just begun to examine our media for evidence, I can safely say that we have already gotten some astounding findings! Much thanks to the members of the Freemasons for allowing us to conduct an investigation in their sacred space, and kudos to the team for doing an excellent job!
Look to the investigations page and the evidence page frequently for our report on this most fruitful case! Once we have gathered all our data, we will be sure to post it here.
Our next monthly meeting for group members and interested persons will be held at Kat's house on Sunday, May 6, 2007 at 6pm. For more info please send inquiries to Tabitha.
Tuesday, April 10, 2007- After quite a lot of work, we have gotten the new look and feel to the website up and running! If you would like to link your site to ours, please email Tabitha with a button link and your website information, and we will put you up and return the favor.
I sincerely hope that everyone likes the new layout! We have found it much easier on the eyes and with more space for extras, such as links. If anyone has any comments on the website layout, feel free to send me a message. I love criticism, but I love praise more!
On another note, our monthly meeting on Sunday, April 1st went extremely well! We are happy to welcome our newest members, Tom Arnold, Michelle Millet, Susuan Griffin, Shelby Mabry, Don Staub, and James Boyd!
We spent a great deal of time allotting tasks to individuals and setting up different departments within PIG-NE so that the senior staff members are not quite so strapped for time and resources. This was, of course, done on a volunteer basis, and everyone was quite pleased with the result of the meeting. It was at this meeting that we decided to reformat the website, keeping the same content but changing the look of it. Since I have been working on this for the past ten days, I decided not to make an individual entry for the meeting, and left it off until now. We have also decided to move our monthly meetings to a larger location, because our former meeting place is just too small to hold all of our members. More about that later, when and if we get the approval for the new meeting site we are currently looking at.
Saturday, March 17, 2007- HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!
After spending quite a bit of time and effort on it, I have finally created a message board for this website. It can be found in the menu list on the side of the website. Stop by and check it out, register and post! It's really cool and a lot of fun!
Wednesday, March 14, 2007- The preliminary report of our investigation of Maud's grave in Pachaug Forest is now up in the Investigations section. There are also photos of the area and a few EVPs. More will be added as they are found and catalogued.
Tuesday, March 13, 2007- Our investigation in Pachaug State Forest on Sunday, March 11 went extremely well. We are currently examining all of our possible evidence and will post any of our findings on both the investigations page and the evidence page as it becomes available!
Also, we have created a guestbook for visitors to sign and view. Don't forget to stop by and sign it! The guestbook is located towards the bottom of our main page.
Monday, March 5, 2007- The meeting last night went very well. We have scheduled an investigation for next Sunday, March 11, 2007 at a private site. Once we have done the investigation, we will be posting any events or evidence we collect from this site. Look to the investigations page later next week for photos and hopefully EVPs!
We have also created a membership application based in PDF along with an application for people wishing for us to do investigations in their homes or businesses, which are both easily accessible using Adobe Acrobat Reader. The files for both the applications can be found on the Contact Us page of the website near the bottom.
New photos of the majority of the Senior Staff were posted up today in the About Us section, with bios coming soon! Come check us out!
Sunday, March 4, 2007- The first ever monthly meeting for the Paranormal Investigation Group of New England will be held at Kat's house at 5 pm. We will be discussing group business, the new website, going over our individual assignments for the month, introducing new members, and more. There will be food and refreshments provided by Kat and Tabbie. Anyone interested in attending that is not a group member but would like to find our more about us should contact Kat. Her email address is located on the Contact Us page.
