Tabitha Johnson- Founder/Webmaster/Lead Investigator

I have had an interest in the paranormal all of my life. As a child I had many personal experiences with spirits, although I did not recognize them as such until many years later. In the beginning of 1999 I met the members a local paranormal group, which to my knowledge no longer exists today. It was this group, however, that first introduced me to the realm of actual ghost hunting. Over the course of time my fear of the unknown became an almost insatiable curiosity about all things psychical. I taught myself html programming, and I became the website developer for their group, as well as the Public Relations person. Staying with that group was not to be, however, due to a somewhat lackadasical and often random interest in doing actual investigations. I could not go for many months without ghost hunting, and so I left that group, spending time in a couple of others as well. Unfortunately, I encountered similar problems in each of the other groups I worked with. Dissatisfied with how other local paranormal groups were being run, in March of 2007, my best friend Katie (Kat to everyone else) and I decided to form our own group comprised of members with the common goal of solid dedication and seriousness to our hobby of ghost investigation. The Paranormal Investigation Group of New England is the fruit of our labor, and this is where I will stay, as Founder, Webmaster, and Lead Investigator.

In my personal life I am a stay-at-home mother of one with a loving and very supportive husband. My family means the world to me. I am an avid art lover and fantasy reader. I also love horror movies, consider myself to be a big dork, love to play WoW (World of Warcraft) and have been known to roll some die in Advanced Dungeons & Dragons on occasion! I am also a non-practicing Ecclectic Wiccan.

To get in touch with me please send email to tabitha@pig-ne.com and I will reply to your message as soon as possible. I check this email account several times daily, as is my responsibility as webmaster of this site.

Kat Reale- Co-Founder/Public Relations Manager/Human Resources

My name is Kat.  I have been in the field of paranormal investigation for most of my life.  Ever since I was a child, I have sensed and seen spirits around me, and occasionally had visions of future happenings.  As a child, I didn't know what was going on, but my grandmother explained things to me, including that these talents run in my family and especially that these experiences were nothing to be afraid of and were completely natural, if not a little bit abnormal for your average person.  I seem to have a special affinity for the spirits of children, even still today.  I have been told that they are attracted to my "motherly" vibe.  I joined a local paranormal group at the behest of Tabitha, a close personal friend of mine for many years, in the fall of 2006.  Due to my strong background in management and retail sales, I was made the Public Relations/Human Resources Manager of the group.  I ran the daily functions of the group, from interviewing clients and potential members, to setting up investigations.  Tabitha and I decided in March of 2007 to form our own paranormal investigative team, and this is when the Paranormal Investigation Group of New England was formed.

My special area of interest is in the field of EVPs, or electronic voice phenoemna.  I have spent many years studying the nuances of this particular aspect of paranormal investigation.

I am not only co-founder but also the Public Relations contact for PIG-NE.

If you would like to get in touch with me, feel free to send an email to kat@pig-ne.com.  I check this email account frequently and will respond to any queries promptly.

Mike Darrow- Occult Specialist/Investigator

My name is Mike Darrow and I am the Occult Specialist and Case Manager for PIG-NE. I have been interested in paranormal activity pretty much all of my life. I have almost 16 years of experience in the occult. I am a Wiccan High Priest and also have 7 years of leadership ability. I joined PIG-NE on a whim and was accepted immediately as one of the family. I was given the title of Occult Specialist almost right away. I now also have the title of Senior Staff Member.

During our investigations, my job is to make sure the group is psychically and emotionally safe from all of the paranormal "nasties" that might be present at a location.

If you would like to contact me about a possible investiagtion, or about the occult in general, you can email me at mike@pig-ne.com.

Debra Ayres- Investigator/Research Department Manager

Hello, everyone! My name is Debra Ayres, but most people call me Debbie. I have always had a strong fascination with the paranormal, especially spirits and psychic abilities. Many of the women in my family have shown some psychic abilities, from sensativity to clairvoyance and more. I am no exception. After the tragic passing of my three children- Ryan, Crystal, and Nathan- in 1986 in a house fire, I spent a long time blaming myself for their deaths (I survived, while they did not). Last year my niece Tabitha introduced me to the ideals of the First Spiritualist Church of Willimantic, CT. For a while I resisted attending, but after some time I finally caved. I found a true home in Spiritualism, and it was here that my process of forgiving myself began. I also began to participate in paranormal investigations with Tabbie's group, and it was there that I found a great passion in my life. I have since spent much time and study in the areas of EVPs, evidence, and research, and due to my thoroughness and competency in these areas, I was made the Research Manager for PIG-NE.

If you have any questions about evidence or research, or would like to submit your possible paranormal media for examination by our group, please send any emails to debbie@pig-ne.com.

Nikki Chamberland- Senior Investigator

Hello everyone my name is Nicole Chamberland, but everyone calls me Nikki. I am a Senior Member of the Paranormal Investigation Team of New England, an our team's Senior Investigator. I am in charge of telling our members where they need to be on investigations, how many people should be in each team, and help teach new members how to conduct a proper investigation. I have been interested in the paranormal for quite a while now. I have had a few experiences of my own. I have sometimes felt a presence of spirits or ghosts near me but never knew what it was or how to handle it.

I love doing investigations, its my way of getting more answers to my questions about the paranormal. I used to be afraid of what I couldn't see (or fear of the unknown) I will admit that sometimes I might get nervous occasionally, but all in all I love doing this. One of my favorite things to do is to listen to our evidence we have gotten on our DVR(digital voice recorder). When I hear a great EVP(electronic voice phenomana), I get so excited, and I can't wait to show everyone else in the group.

I also go to a church called the First Spiritualist Church of Willimantic. It wasn't until I started attending this church that I realized that I have a talent in this kind of field, since they encourage you to develop all of your innate abilities. A deep talent which I have not found entirely yet. It will take a while, but I will be ready. Going to that church has changed my outlook on life and on the afterlife. I have opened my heart and my mind a lot more, and I know I can do anything.

So with that said, paranormal research is so fascinating that I could never give it up. It is a wonderful hobby and I have amazing people/friends in the group. I love knowing that we can help give people answers to their unanswered questions, that we can make a difference in their lives, and sometimes help make them feel safe in their own homes. So everyone...welcome to the site, enjoy, and let us know what you think. If you like to get in touch with me personally, you can e-mail me at nikki@pig-ne.com.

Anthony Butcher- Tech Department Manager/Investigator

Hello everyone! My name is Anthony, but most people call me Tony. I have been interested in the paranormal all my life. I've had many personal experiences which have only reinforced my curiosity. I am a Wiccan solitary practioner and have been for the past twenty-six years. I also have eighteen years of faithful service to the United States Army under my belt. I am a self-confessed technology geek, and as the Tech Manager for PIG-NE, I am responsible for researching new equipment and technologies for investigations, as well as repair and upkeep of current equipment. I also train our investigators in proper use and care of both group and personal equipment.

I met Tabbie and Kat through a flyer at a local occult store for a ghosthunting class. We had been in contact for over a year before my job schedule allowed me the time to pursue my interests. I have been welcomed as one of the family from the start and have recently been given a Senior Staff Member title.

If you have any questions pertaining to technologies used or proper use of equipment, feel free to contact me at tony@pig-ne.com. I hope you enjoy our site.

Gail Sarette- Full-Time Investigator/Research/Networking/Group Secretary

Hi everyone, my name is Gail Sarette and i'm a new addition to the group. I am primarily an investigator, but I also have my hands in many other areas of the group. Although I am new to the group the paranormal is not new to me. My first experience was when I was about 7 years old and continues to this day. I am considered a sensative to some and clairvoyant to others, because I see, hear & feel things that most don't. I once believed it was a curse but have learned to embrace it and call it a gift. I love investigating because it fuels the fire I have inside for validating what happens after we leave this earthly plane. I have been a practicing buddhist for about 3 years who believes in rebirth, that combined with my many personal experiences feeds my love for this group. I feel very welcome and feel like I fit right in. Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns at gsarette@hotmail.com.

Dan Reale- Part-Time Investigator/Writing Department Head/Member at Large

Dan currently functions as a member at large. His interest as a ghost hunter is to “Get all this down and finally quantify it”. He also says of his background, “I was always interested in the scientific explanation as to what a haunting is. Are ghosts just our imagination or are they some sort of intelligence contained within an energy field of some kind? We can’t say we know for sure. But what we can do is gather all the data we can and go from there. We can also develop a procedure for doing this, one that anybody outside our group could pick up and follow. Since paranormal science is on the fringe edge, it would be most beneficial for us to quantify what phenomena fall into this category, then attempt to produce some plausible explanation. Ideally, I’d like to do this in such a way that anyone could pick up where I left off and repeat it, creating ideal test conditions and verifiable data. It’s simply a matter of starting out where guys like Nikola Tesla or Galileo did. The work or field in question isn’t so crazy as it coheres into logical order, solid sets of data and rules sets. At that point, it’s quite boring, but at least issues are put to rest. It’s a matter of quantification, then finding out what those rules sets are through experiment as we progress. That’s all we’re looking to do.”

Dan currently works as a freelance writer. He is using previous electronics experience and his current profession to help PIG-NE whenever he can.

Chris Maxim- Part-Time Investigator

Hi. My name is Chris Maxim, and I'm a new member of the group. I am looking forward to some great investigations and joint investigations with other paranormal groups. I have always had an interest in the supernatural and paranormal. As a member of the Masonic fraternity, I was turned on to this group after several unexplainable instances within my lodge itself. After the investigation, I knew I was hooked. I have four years as an electrician and a degree in Electrical, so I spend as much time as I can working in the Tech Department helping to keep our equipment in good working order. Hope you enjoy the website.

Naomi Cochrane- Investigator

Tom Arnold (Photo Coming Soon!)- Part-Time Investigator

Hello, my name is Tom Arnold. I am a part-time investigator for PIG-NE. I've also been very interested in paranormal investigation and research for a very long time. I've been having experiences in my own house, and this is what really piqued my interest with the afterlife. I also do pendulum work. I have about three years experience in that field. I am fairly adept at reading people as well, and I find it very hard to turn that off. I see a lot in people that I don't want to know: how they feel or what there personality is. I consider myself to be quite empathic.
